TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE FLIGHT
It’s hard to choose a single favorite flight on this wings because these gliders became part of so many unforgettable moments. Over the years, it gave possibly more than 2000 people the opportunity to experience flight with me many of them seeing the sky in a completely different way afterward. Watching someone’s perspective change after their first real flight is something special, and this wing helped create those experiences again and again.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO SEND YOUR WING OFF FOR A NEW LIFE?
Sending these gliders off feels less like an ending and more like a new chapter. Instead of sitting unused somewhere, it now has the opportunity to continue its journey transformed into something people can carry on new adventures — whether as a backpack or fanny pack. I love the idea that a wing that spent so much time exploring the skies can keep traveling the world in a different form and continue creating stories for years to come.
DO YOU FEEL MORE CONNECTED TO THE PLANET BECAUSE OF FLYING?
Absolutely. Flying has made me feel deeply connected to the planet in a way that’s hard to describe unless you’ve experienced it. When you spend so much time in the sky, you become more aware of the wind, the terrain, the changing light, the weather, and how everything on Earth is connected. You stop seeing nature as just a background and start feeling like you are part of it.
Flying also gives you perspective. From above, borders, stress, and everyday noise seem smaller, while the beauty of the planet becomes impossible to ignore. It creates a sense of respect, gratitude, and responsibility toward the places we get to explore.
