TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE FLIGHT
My favorite flight on this wing would probably be in Valle de Bravo. It was my first time flying outside of the US and felt like the first time I was taking my skills out into the real world.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO SEND YOUR WING OFF FOR A NEW LIFE?
It feels great to see my old wing getting a second life. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it once it got too old to fly and when I found out what you do with old wings it seemed like the best way to honor its legacy and save it from just becoming more landfill trash.
DO YOU FEEL MORE CONNECTED TO THE PLANET BECAUSE OF FLYING?
Absolutely. It’s such a unique way to interact with the world around me and it always feels like I’m closer to nature when I’m flying.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THE PERSON WHO ENDS UP WEARING A PIECE OF YOUR STORY?

WHAT'S ONE WORD YOU'D USE TO DESCRIBE YOUR GLIDER AND WHY?
Life. I feel like paragliding changed my life and it’s become such an important of who I am and what I do. I couldn’t imagine life without it.

WHAT FIRST DREW YOU TO FLYING?
The sense of freedom and adventure and doing something truly unique.
WHAT'S A MOMENT YOU'LL NEVER FORGET?
My very first flight to the beach at Torrey Pines Gliderport. I had never taken a tandem flight before I started learning so it was the first time I’d ever experienced anything like the sensation of launching into the wind. I couldn’t believe how natural it felt.
WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO DONATE YOUR RETIRED WING TO OUTSPIREX?
I love the mission and the dedication to making the world a better place. It’s the best way I can think of to help the planet and honor something as meaningful as my first wing.
WHAT STORIES DOES YOUR WING HOLD?
So many. All of my firsts really with paragliding. First small flights, first big flights, scariest moments, happiest moments, first breakthroughs. Everything.
